What is eras supplemental application?
The Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) is a part of the AAMC that serves the academic medicine community to provide excellent healthcare services to people everywhere. The Association of American Medical Colleges was originally founded in 1876 and is a non-profit organization that offers medical education, health care, medical research, and community collaborations.
The ERAS programme is offering a new supplemental application that is meant to help students share more information about themselves and assist program directors in finding best-fit applications for their programs.
The ERAS residency application submission begins from September 1, 2021, at 9 am ET. The residency programs may begin reviewing applications and MSPEs from September 29, 2021. The ERAS 2022 season ends on May 31, 2022.
The ERAS 2022 residency applicants interested in applying to participating programs in internal medicine, dermatology, and general surgery can apply for ERAS. The three specialty leadership organizations will be The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, the Association of Professors of Dermatology, and the Association of Program Directors in Surgery.

The application portal is a centralized online application service that can be used to obtain the application form and also for uploading the supporting documents.
How to apply?
The Electronic Residency Application Services is a centralized online application service using which you can deliver your application along with all other supporting documents to apply for residency programs.
- You have to log in or register for MyERAS.
- Then, you will be redirected to a new page where you will have to click on Create Account.
- Next, you have to fill up your Personal Details, Initial Questions, and Account Information.
- You have to fill up your email address, prefix, first & last name, generational suffix, postnominal suffix, and sex.
- Then, you have to click on Continue and complete the next tabs. This will complete the step of registration.
